FAQ
Under "FAQ", you can find numerous exciting answers to the most commonly asked questions, for example:
How and where can I buy Schaller products?
We don't sell directly. Please contact our wholesalers, who will be happy to help you (see Supplier List under "Contact/Wholesalers"). Guitar-builders can order from us directly, subject to a minimum order value (please use our contact form under "Contact/Contact").
How can I tell which Schaller products fit my guitar?
Of course we don't have absolutely every type of guitar on our premises to be able to immediately check which Schaller products will fit your particular guitar.
For this reason, please use the technical illustrations, which we have provided for every product. These show you, in a very simple way, whether our Schaller product fits your guitar. Information on where to find the technical drawings, together with further explanations, is available on the lower part of this page.
Surface finishing
This M6 locking machine head is an example of the subtle differences between various surface finishes.

Images in the product catalog
Our product catalog contains every article with its numerous variants, such as designs, surfaces, buttons, with Piezo etc. A click on the product number will normally take you to the corresponding image, which will give you a more realistic impression of your desired product.
Please remember that sometimes we are unable to illustrate all the variants of a specific product. If this is the case, we have simply displayed the basic version of the product. By selecting the Buttons product group you will at least be able to see an image of each individual article.
Ruthenium
In addition to information about ruthenium you will also find four further coating options consisting of a gold/ruthenium combination. You will find more information about the metal Ruthenium under Service / Lexicon.

Measure specifications
All measurements in the product catalogue are given in mm, unless a different unit of measurement is stated.
Technical drawings and operating instructions
Via the Image and Text buttons on the Individual Product level, you will find technical drawings (“TZ”) and operating instructions (“BA”). Under (“BA”) you will also find mounting instructions, images and examples etc., which may be of in your individual case.
We do not accept any liability for the correctness of the technical drawings. Prior to installation, please measure for yourself once more, so you can consider regular manufacturing tolerances.
The technical drawings can be printed on one page width. Should the technical drawings not fit on one page, however, please check your print page setup (note: they can be several pages long).
From time to time, the measurements given in the file downloads on our website may differ from those given in the catalogue. Please bear in mind that the measurements given in the online downloads are current. Any discrepancies will be corrected when the catalogue is updated.

String retainers
You can use string retainers from your general guitar parts supplier as an alternative to our string ferrules.

Humbucking Pickups
All of our single-pole Humbucker pickups are built to fit in any common frame.
Our frames provide mounting with four height adjustment screws to prevent tilting. When winding the coils we pay special attention to the precise matching of each pair of coils – essential for ensuring 100% humbucking function.
As with our single-coil pickups, all Humbucker coils are soaked in a special process
to minimize microphone feedback.
The single-pole Humbuckers offer variable pole piece spacing at neck and bridge pickups, which permits full use of the magnetic field.
All pickups are available in Cream, Black or Cream Black (Humbuckers only).
